Build with HolyShift
HolyShift exposes a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for apps that need business context: customer knowledge, market and competitor research, and experiment learnings.
The interface has eight focused tools. Questions go to HolyShift's own project agent through ask_holyshift; your client polls get_answer for the result. Your app does not need to download project files or recreate HolyShift's research workflow.
This is the current MCP interface. Compatibility with individual third-party clients is still being verified. Treat the integration as a preview and handle refusals and pending work explicitly.

The trailing-slash spelling /mcp/ also works. Authenticated GET and DELETE return 405 because the server has no standalone event stream or session to delete.
First integration
- Use an MCP SDK with Streamable HTTP and an OAuth token store.
- Discover and authorize the account.
- Initialize the MCP connection and call
tools/listto get the current schemas. - Call
list_projectsand select aproject_id. - Call
ask_holyshift, then poll the conversation.
Send Authorization: Bearer <access_token> on every MCP request. MCP access tokens do not authenticate ordinary /api/* product routes, and HolyShift console sessions do not authenticate /mcp.
Plan for asynchronous work
The HTTP request returns quickly; the agent run may take minutes. Store the conversation_id, stop polling on terminal states and show the HolyShift URL when the person needs to act.

MCP resources, prompts and the tasks extension are not exposed. There are no direct file, email, calendar or publishing tools in this interface; work can be requested through ask_holyshift, subject to the project's normal permissions and approvals.
